SPECTRAL is an independent visual effects studio based in Budapest, Hungary. Founded in 2019 by VFX supervisor and producer, Gergely Takács, it provides creative services for film and television productions in the fast-growing Hungarian service production scene which is now the biggest production hub in Continental Europe thanks to one of the most generous tax rebates.

In 5 years, SPECTRAL has grown from a boutique size company of hand-picked professionals to one of the major VFX players supporting international and local productions in Hungary. We are proud of our international and supportive company culture that nurtures talent, creativity and innovation.

Tax Incentive
SPECTRAL – as a Hungary-based filmmaker – falls under the Film Law which allows granting exceptional Tax Rebate of up to 37.5% for its partners. Hungary introduced a simple and transparent tax incentive mechanism in 2004 to stimulate local film production activities.
